Philanthropy Through an Inclusive Lens provides an in-depth view of philanthropy for communities of color and philanthropy fundamentals, including the primary pillars of philanthropic engagement and history of philanthropy. This, in addition to a personal assessment of each student and their own potential biases and lived experiences, and how that can impact their philanthropic journeys.
The course will also examine the challenges sometimes faced by communities and people of color when defining philanthropy itself and dismantling the philanthropic archetype so that donor communities around the country and the world can be more diverse and inclusive. The course will include sessions on Women’s Philanthropy, as well as diversifying donor bases and stewardship for donors of color.
This course is four (4) sessions.
