Join us for the first of three inspiring conversations, about women in leadership. It is one of WID’s foremost goals to fulfill our mission of empowering women in the sector. When it comes to the C-Suite and crafting a life of exactly what you want to accomplish and the legacy you want to leave, there's no better example to look to than Liz Neumark.
Liz Neumark founded Great Performances as a waitress-staffing agency for women in the arts; it has since transformed into one of the country’s foremost catering companies. As a leader in the industry, Liz is dedicated to tackling food-related issues and engages in initiatives including food rescue, anti-hunger, healthy food access, and local agriculture.
In 2006, she established Katchkie Farm in Kinderhook, NY, and founded The Sylvia Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing issues in children’s health. Liz was recently appointed to the NYC Fair Recovery Task Force; serves as Board Chair for Hudson Square Business Improvement District; sits on the boards of GrowNYC, women.nyc, The Fund for Public Housing, The Sylvia Center; and is a member of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce. She’s been named one of New York’s Most Powerful Women by Crain’s New York and was featured on Her Big Idea.
